IOSH Working Safely®

 IOSH Working Safely covers the essentials of health and safety in the workplace. It is aimed at all workers in all types of organisation. Upon successful completion of the course and assessment, students are awarded a Working Safely certificate from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), the world’s largest health and safety membership organisation.  

The IOSH Working Safely® course was developed by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). This is a global chartered body that creates training courses to promote high standards of health and safety in the workplace.

An IOSH Working Safely® certificate is a sought-after accreditation and supports continued professional development.

  2. Defining hazard and risk
  3. Identifying common hazards
  4. Improving safety performance.

Learning outcomes of IOSH Working Safely® course:

  • Identify why it is important to work safely
  • Identify everyone’s responsibilities in relation to health, safety and well-being in the workplace
  • Define key terms in health and safety
  • Identify workplace hazards and risks, their impact and how to control them
  • Identify ways in which health, safety and wellbeing are managed and improved within the workplace.

IOSH Working Safely® is assessed by a short multiple choice exam and hazard spotting exercise at the end of the course. 


An IOSH Working Safely® certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of both parts of the assessment. 

Please note that all IOSH certificates are now digital. 

If you require a paper copy of your certificate, IOSH makes a separate charge of £10 + VAT per certificate.
